Mulan has always held a passion for animals and wants to live a life giving back to them through her involvement in the veterinary field. She has actively worked and trained in veterinary nursing at various general practices around Sydney right after high school to fast track her learning.
“Being there for an owner during their pet’s milestones and adversities is rewarding. It is a privilege to work with a team of inspirational people to be their support and help their loved one(s) maintain a healthy and happy life” says Mulan.
She has completed her Certificate IV of Veterinary Nursing whilst also studying for her Bachelor of Science (Advanced) at the University of Sydney. She plans to continue veterinary nursing as she utilises her bachelor’s degree to progress her studies into Veterinary Medicine whilst also applying her science degree into practice, to research animal cognition and assess/improve the effectiveness of animal welfare standards.
Mulan speaks fluent Mandarin, outside of work you will either find her studying till early hours, working out, or succumbing to her sweet tooth.
Furthermore, she volunteers for Sydney Dogs and Cats home, initially as a kennel hand and now as an animal handler for fundraising events.
