Sustainability

Here at PPVH, we are passionate about saving the planet for future generations.

Our staff are dedicated to using environmentally friendly options when treating our patients whenever possible. Unfortunately, in a hospital environment, we unavoidably need to use many single-use sterile items and sundries to perform our work. Therefore, we have taken measures to ensure that when we do so, the materials are responsibly recycled or disposed of correctly.

You will see stations around our hospital with bins that separate paper and soft plastics, so that every item opened is responsibly placed in the correct bin to be recycled. We collect and recycle 60 litres of soft plastics each month.

We stock and sell Royal Canin pet food. The bags and pouches are made from recycled materials. We encourage clients to bring their clean empty pet food bags and place them in our recycling box instead of throwing them in the general waste ♻️
